Default engine question

i got a 75 harley sporty 1000 now under the right side cover right in front of the drive sprocket theres a brass looking fitting is that the chain oiler.When i got this bike it was striped repainted but the guy didn't have time to put the little this back on it and some of the manual isn't any help the oil pump what part of the tank does the get hooked to does that go to the botton of the tank.There is three hoses all total is it one pump line and two returns

ok let me try this again i have a 1975 Harley sporty 1000cc i got the bike with somethings not hooked up.I wanted to know if anyone knows how the oil tank gets hooked up.I was told the oilpump gets hooked to the fitting under the cam cover right in front of the drive sprocket but i see 3 fittings on my tank one at the top where the cap turns one and two on the back of the tank sorry for my actions this day didn't go right at all.I see two hoses on the back of the engine.

Ranger32. Its very difficult to read your post and understand what you are trying to say. Repost your question and think about what you are typing then go back and read it over a few times as if it were someone elses post and they were asking you for help . Shovelhead Bob is one of the most knowlegable guys in the forum and I'm sure he will be more than willing to help you with your problem but he cant help if he cant make sense of your message...............BG

I think he wants to know how the oil lines are routed from the oil tank to the engine, seems he got the bike
without the lines hooked up.

Top is Vent/Return

The 2 on the bottom are Drain and Supply.....

I don't have a manual in front of me for that year, so it will be a while before I can find out......

The drain is / Should be plugged off with a bolt..... Some are routed with a hose down to the swingarm....
