Default Here we go on the engine!

Here I go opening a can of worms!!! I want to start doing work on the engine. I would like to aquire all of the needed components and do everything at one time. I have a 09 Street Glide with nothing but the Race Tuner, Pt. #32109-08A, Rinehart Slip-Ons and a Screamin'Eagle "Heavy Breather" Performance Air Cleaner Kit, Pt. #29006-09. I am okay with taking any of that off and replacing it with something better. I don't want another 103 kit with a full system and a cam, I would really like to go all out while maintaining resonable reliability. I would be grateful for knowledgable info. Thanks!

What is it that you are desiring????? Torque, HP, Economy, Bar hopper, Long distance highway motor????

You can do a one off custom motor (96-107" CID), choice of cams, choice of heads...

Once you have narrowed down what you are EXPECTING, then you can begin to look at the various components to accomplish that....

That makes sense and my answer will most likely not. I want what I guess everyone really wants, The best mix of everything. I would like something that is 100+ and 100+ on the torque and hp, I do mostly ride around the DFW area, but would like to ride to 2-3 ralleys a year.

One more thing, I would like to use the Roland Sands Air Cleaner Part Number 1010-0423 that would match my wheels and the exhaust has to be available in a black finish. Thank you to everyone. I am new to HD thing so if I am leaving anything out please bare with me and let me know.

100/100 is not a big chore. Headwork, cam change, pipe, air cleaner ,tune.
If going "all out" and looking for something that'll get your attention, (as well as your friends) then a tame 117" comes to my mind. Those settle in at about 125-130 ft lbs.

I'm 500 miles in on a brand new ground up 107. I LOVE it a LOT. And it's a true blast to ride. It's a BEAST from like 2500 to 5000rpm.

Yesterday.... while doing 3000rpm and 80 mph... I wondered if I shouldn't have just said the heck with it and done a 117.

Just sayin.............
