Default Backfire

[size=2]Hi all,
I just had SEII, Stage 1 installed and get a little backfire when I let off the throtle. Not bad...is this normal or is it running too lean. I use 93 octane. 2005 Road King, one beautiful bike. Thanks for the responces.

That's not a back fire - that's the music of increased performance!

I get a sort of engine "swell", but not a backfire when I let off the gas. I also have the SE2s, rejet and filter.

Cheers!

I have a Low Ryder with SE IIs, SE filter, and rejet and have a "swell," like Clammy, but no backfire.

Whats your opinion...it doesn't bother me much, but since it's a new bike should I take it back to have them look at it?

A backfire is a louder pop, I am think'n what your hearing is a muffled rumble....which is beautiful music.

Backfire out the pipe is too rich, not too lean. If it isn't too bad, don't worry about it. If it's popping out the intake, it's lean, and get it fixed.

My seIIs "pop" a little bit when I let off the gas after a hard accel but nothing to crazy. I actually think it sound kind of cool. If you had a major backfire problem you would know. Sounds like you have the "Harley patented pop."
