My 2009 fltr engine 'pinches' when starting.
It's very noisy, and sounds like an engine with spark timing off.
The dealer told me this was somewhat normal?

 

Normal ? Yes and no if it happens every now an then
yes, it is normal. However if it "pinches" more times than not
then no, it is not normal. If it becomes a real thorn in your
flesh like it did me then concider the HD 1.4 kw starter
