Screamin Eagle Exhaust Gasket issues..

Installed a new set of pipes (HD 16 Gauge Double Barrels) on my 06 Deluxe. Used the Screamin Eagle Exhaust gaskets but seem to have a leak from both at the heads. (used the Wd40 approch)

Anyone else have issues with these gaskets.

The dealer told me that the TC88 seem to have problems and suggested I use the stock ones.

I left the stock gaskets in place when I put on the new pipes, worked out fine!

Thanks, I bought a new set of stock gaskets. I'll get them installed this week. Man, hate to have to take the pipes off though...

Hi Mike,
I put the SE16 on my fatty and also reused the stock gaskets{just could not wait to get some!}no leaks here either...

I had the 1600's instaled on my bike when I bought it i will check into the gaskets they used!

Never had a problem with them, provided the exhaust is installed correctly. Make sure the pipes are torqued at the head BEFORE attaching the support brackets. If the brackets don't line up, don't move the pipes! Move or modify the brackets to line up with the pipes. That is the cause of most leaks... not connecting things in the proper order.

Gaskets are cheap. If your are not re-installing the same pipes, I suggest changing them because different pipes won't mate exatly the same. You could always pull the old ones out and fluff em up a little.
