FWIW, Evolution Industries makes a 30 tooth crank sprocket (no compensator) and a 49 tooth clutch basket sproket. On the TC96 (at least for 07 & 08), the engine sprocket is a 34 tooth and the clutch basket is a 46. I went with the 49 tooth over the 30 tooth just to keep the compensator sprocket in place. Happy with the results so far. IIRC, it gave me about 300 more RPM in 6th on the highway, and starting on an incline is much easier especially when 2-up.

Default Cam specs

This is the tale of the tape:
intake----- 20/45, 245 dur., .570 lift, 102.5 center
exhaust----47/18, 245 dur., .570 lift, 104.5 center
From 98" to 124". This took some time to design, in-house, and had another in the works, a couple years ago, but the bottom fell out of that. Different story, and in hind sight, glad it did.
Mike Pederson, GM of Andrews, said it looks VERY good.

Question about the re-gear - doesn't that mean higher RPM's at cruising speed (say 75 MPH in 6th?)

Yes. That was done by the factory on the '10 models. The '07 & '08 really benefit from some extra rpm in 6th.

Matrix,
What fuel economy changes did you see with the gear change?

Question; Please correct me if I'm wrong, but why would you want to change the pulley ratio and sacrifice nice easy cruising and gas mileage on the highway in 6th gear? I admit, I don't know much about this pulley stuff.

The right cam and the right tune seems like a solid direction to go.

I'm sorry for the lag in response time to the replys to the question(s) that I posted but when you have a J O B to deal with, sometimes we all get a little too busy. I thank you all for your input and you have given me a defininte place to start with with my need for more low and midrange end GIDDYUP. Seems like I need to do a little more reading and investigation on this forum regarding my topic as I know there are lots of Ya out there that have more mechanical knowledge on this than I do. Again thank you and it sounds like a 30t sprocket along with the proper camming will open her up.

Not really any change. I actually get about the same on the hwy as before and about 2 mpg better in 5th on the two lane roads. The engine is working easier and requires a little less throttle to keep the same speed.
