so much talk about cam shoes can some body who has done it
outline how it is done and can it be done with out buying tools from harley

The manual has a pretty good shot at the procedure. I would add to it , but I am at work now. You don't NEED to buy tools, but there are a couple that might make it easier. To hold the tensioner, they recommend one of their tools to rotate the tensioner and another to hold it. I rotated it with pliers and held it in place with an appropriate sized allen key.
