Just got my V and H "Big Radius" pipes put on my 05 Dyna Wide. I know that it is either "I love them" or "I hate them" for the most part. Consider me part of the "I love them" camp and I am so glad I finally broke down and got them. Now the bike sounds like a Harley should. Kinda loud at when I get on the throttle but not loud enough to ruin the experience. No pics yet but hopefully I will soon. Ride safe..Ryan
Howdy Ryan, glad to hear that you got your exhaust changed over to the way that you want it. I think that sound might be an individual thing. As long as you are happy with the sound, that's all that matters. I don't know much about exhaust, that's why I went with what the dealer suggested. I am happy with my sound and you are happy with your sound. I think that's all that matters. Enjoy the ride.
That is pretty much what the dealer told me too when it came to buying new pipes (I am a total newbie at this). He said everyone has their own tastes and to get what I liked - not just what the first peson suggested. I research everything quite a bit before I buy and what 1 person likes 5 more may dislike. I did what alot of people suggested and just hung around various bike shps and area hangouts to get a feel for what I wanted. Later. Ryan
I went to my dealer and asked the parts guy to demo some pipes. He replied "No problem".
I was ushered through the shop and into the large room where the used bikes are kept. He opened up the door to vent the fumes and proceeded to crank one bike after another until I heard the sound I liked.
