Multi-Colored Headers?

I removed my heat shields to put on new clamps and try and get rid of this chirping sound. I also pulled my slip-ons so I could I could seal them and try to get rid a BLAP!BLAP!BLAP! on decel. My header pipes are all blue and purple, yellow and green. Pretty beat up lookin too(UGLY).
Is this multi-colored situation normal for you guys with V&H slips-ons and heavy breather setup?

completely normal. It is due to the high heat.

Thanks, Getting new clamps today and hopefully stopping my squeks and rattles. I've never been able to get these clamps to stay tight.

Cheap a$$ clamps I got at the dealership. Broke 2 of 'em tightening with a screwdriver. There's gotta be someting better.

Prfectly normal on any single skinned pipes. Heat shields are just as much about concealing this as heat shielding as it's considered unsightly by many although when I rode sportsbikes many years ago it was seen as attractive
