Fuel in Crankcase!!!!????
valve before storing my bike over the winter. Every 3 or 4 weeks I would go out and start it with no problems. It has been about 6 weeks since I last started the bike. I was preparing to change the oil so I start it up and let it run, after about 2 minutes it begins to run poorly. I shut off the choke and it continued until the bike shut off. Gas was pouring out of the air filter. I removed the carb and found a dry rotted vac cap. I replaced the cap, reinstall the carb. When I checked the oil it was full of fuel. I guessed that it had created a vaccum with the cap being rotten and filled the crankcase. So I change the oil fire it up it runs for a few minutes and shuts off. Check the fresh oil change and low and behold......gas again. What in the world could cause this? Thanks in advance for any guidance.

If not, you will need to remove the fuel bowl from the carb and give the needle and seat area a shot of carb cleaner.
Some unsolicited advice...
When you store the bike for extended periods, add fuel stabilizer and fill the tanks full.
Run the engine with the fuel valve in shutoff, until the engine quits.
Always turn the fuel valve off except when the engine is running. Make it a habit. Don`t trust vacuum valve shutoffs.
When the bike is stored for extended periods, don`t start the engine unless you plan to take it for a ride that is long enough to get the engine and oil hot. Short engine runs cause condensation to form inside the engine and oil tank, this is why many people find milky white stuff in the engine oil.
