Default S&S super E popping out carb 60-70 mph

At about 60-70 mph I get random here and there pop pop out carb. It’s like the engine hiccups. It's a 88” S&S with super e carb. I have baffles in the pipes. Sparkplugs look great. It has a forcewinder air cleaner. I removed the bowl vent plug like S&S recommends. Anywhere other than 60-70 mph is great including full throttle. I just got this bike. Any ideas?

Pull the bowl off that and check to see what jetting you have on the pilot, and the main, in order to reccomend the suspected proper size.
Has the classic symtoms of a lean condition.

"HSC" Has some good advice. I run my mid-range mixture on the lean side. When its cold outside occasional carb farts are acceptable. Above 70 degrees, There should be none after the engine warms up. The other option is to change pilot jets with the seasons. The Idle mixture will have to be varied as necessary.

I rode this morning “40 degrees” and it was popping like insane. Ya my next step on the list is checking the jets. Would a intake leak cause this? I’ve checked and checked. How about if the previous owner added the high flow intake and didn't reject?

Does this sound like a intermediate or main jet problem?

Sounds like an intermediate jetting issue.
