Default Checking for sumping

This may be a dumb question, but if you pull the plug on the bottom of the crank case to check for sumping whether you get a couple of ounces of oil or more do you need to refill the amount that comes out? I just changed the oil so I know I'm not low right now.

Dave,
4-6 oz is normal, but 8 oz is not a crazy amount either.
Much over that, and something is going on.
Re-filling the oil bag with the amount you found in the crankcase, is not a bad idea, but nothing detrimental will occur if you do not.
BTW, how does it sound?? Run??
Scott

Hey Beau, it is good to have her going again, I was beginning to go through withdrawals. It pulls real strong but I'm trying to track down what might be holding it back a bit. It pulled 109 hp & 120 tq SAE. Pulled the plug last night and only got 3 ounces out of the bottom end so that checked out good. I'll just have to keep checking, I just think there is more there.

There is a sweet spot with all the tuning.
I feel you know this.
Youl know when you get there.

There is a place where all comes together and the engine just feels light and willing and just feels good and goes so nice.
