Glad you are enjoying that build!!!!!!!!!!!
Must pull like a SOB, once it catches 2700 rpms.
112/122 from a 98" must have folks believing it is a larger engine.

Very nice Scott, I'm considering one myself but am curious to the dependability and life expentancy of a motor with this type of build. Also curious as to what kind of price tag it would have. I was going to wait for the AI article to see if the answers to my questions were in it but am super curious and just couldnt wait that long! I fully intend to read that article in its entirety though!
Hi Scott, just want to say thanks for the GREAT JOB you guys did on the america iron bike. This bike pulls like crazy! ,all the way up to 6800 rpm. I was the lucky owner of this build. Runs great, yet still drive it every day. very reliable thanks again. Frank Bottone, would highly recomend your shop to freinds.
Frank,
Are you going to go to 3.37 gearing??
Kicks things square in the a$$!!!!!

- were stock cylinders bored or new jugs installed ...?
- what pistons were used / what was final static compression ratio ...?
- I understand the stock heads were ported and polished (shaped) by your shop ... decked for increased C/R ...?
- Since 51mm throttle body was used, is it safe to assume you went with oversize valves and heavy duty valve springs (details) ...?
- I understand you converted from silent chain to roller chain ... assume hydraulic chain tensioners and the newer type cam support plate was necessary ... was the oil pump replaced in favor of a higher capacity (H-D, Feuling, etc.) ...?
- for some reason, I am assuming this motor build was for an '05 or earlier bagger ... can you provide more on the bike ...?
Good work ... thanks for sharing ....
