Blue smoke
Hi, I'm new to harleys just bought a 97roadking Sunday already a worry .the bike has 15k and set at the dealer for a month I have a intermitant puff of blue smoke when starting up very intermittent . Now I'm worried. Today I took out the airfilter to check things out and it has engine oil on it. I do sometimes smell oil after a ride but Motor is dry. The previous owner changed oil every 1000 miles.I'm thinking valve seals but maybe out of 8starTs it may only puff once. Any ideas at all would be helpful

Leave the bike on the side stand and check the oil level when engine is cold the oil level must be half way up the dip stick. Any more then that and it could be pumped into the air cleaner causing your interment blue smoke.
