on the rare occassion my 2001 dyna is trailered, the engine has a loud tick in the top end when it is started after coming out of the trailer, it lasts a long time, but eventually quiets down, it only happens when trailered. any ideas,

 

Don't know why the trailer would be the culprit, but sounds like a lifter bleeding down.

The only thing I can think that would be different between sitting on the ground and a trailer is road vibration.
Might encourage the engine parts to settle down deeper that usual.
