I own a 2006 Fatboy. I am currently looking into getting a Stage 1 or just upgrading the pipes. I have been told that a 2-1 system is the way to go for increasing performance. I have been looking at the Pro Pipe and the SuperTrapp 2-1 SuperMegs. I am first wanting an increase in performance as well as sound. If anyone out there could shed some light on which they prefer or think is better I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
After experiencing many pipes, many years, on mine, on others, have found the Propipe HS as my favorite. I use three criteria, recognizing two are subjective...
- Performance. One of the top performing pipes. Will give it an "A".
- Sound. Have not come across a pipe "doing" it for me like the PP. Deep and low, with just the right amount of volume. Will give it an "A".
- Looks. Believe 2-2 pipes are aesthetically more pleasing, though when one sees a 2-1, one knows it is a serious pipe. Not sure it is the most pleasing 2-1 around either. Will give it a "B".
Two A's and a B. Have not come across a AAA pipe yet. But this is me.
I have a supertrpp on my RK and it has turned out to be a good choice.Engine runs smooth and is quiet at cruise.
It is not as loud as other 2into1's.If you want loud Supertrapp is not it.I am no expert but IMO this pipe is great!
