Looking at getting a 98" build here in the near future,, Anyone allready running one?? How do you like it?? have you had any issue's?? Any aditional purchases that you need to consider with a build like this that you encountered?
Trying to get as much info as I can before taking the plunge,,
Its a GMR build but yes I believe it is flat top with gear 37G,, Head work and comp around 9.7-9.8,, Site says they deck heads to get the desired comp for cam used,, Called the guy awhile back and he actually talked me out of getting new pipes as they would actually reduce performance,, thought that was pretty cool, Looking at adding HD Clutch spring, and easy pul clutch ramp, Big sucker 1 and PCIII to make it all work,, Just curious if any one has had any issues, or had to get any extra parts to make it work,, I have to order everything from the states (too exspensive to buy from HD in Germany) then take it all to the dealer for install,, so want to make sure I have everything I need so I do this in one shot and not have to wait around for this or that,, when I could be out riding
I have the 98' and am very satisfied. I did the gear drive conversion with the 37g cams, had the heads done, etc. and it runs great. I installed a PCIIIusb which made the tuning easier.
