So I'm in the process of getting a 107 build, waiting on the quote from zippers so I can decide if I go zippers107 and let them build it and or fuel moto and I build it in my garage. (side note I have no experience but after looking at the videos it looks pretty easy). So to my question, what needs improvement to make a reliable build. I will get a stiffer clutch spring and aim VPC, so that addresses the clutch. Is there any thing I should look into? I have read a lot of threads but nothing answering my question. I was originally looking at fuel moto 107 w/ no heads and 222 cam but after calling them and asking questions I just wasn't satisfied, the guy was blah and didn't give me much info. So when I called back to order the 107 kit I spoke to someone else and he was a lot more helpful but gave me more stuff to look into so I was back to the drawing board. I called up zippers to ask if they could install compression releases in my heads and the guy was awesome and we started talking about my build. Hence why I feel more confident in zippers and not FM. My budget for the build is about $3500 and I'm not looking to pull every pony out of the engine, just looking for more power and a bike that I can tour with half way decent reliability.
If I add heads what else should I look to upgrade to handle the hp/tq?
I have the fuel moto 107 Build by them!!
and just installed the level B heads myself!!
Before the heads its making 105 HP
Have not had dyno after heads yet
I have done nothing to the clutch or anything else!!!
My bike s a 2010 Ultra 107 was done with 2000 miles on it !!!
I contacted several of the top builders when I was researching my 107 build. Went with GMR in Texas. Can't do better with the build and tune than Steve and his Genesis 577 cam is killer. Harley Tech Talk is a good forum for this type of research and lot's of good builders/tuners on there all sharing their knowledge. Tons of dyno sheets posted in tuning section as these guys discuss builds and research. Go with who you are comfortable with. Definitely address the clutch to prevent slipping. I replaced the stock clutch but a beefy spring won't dent the budget too bad.
You can do a 103 build,10-1, heads and a T man torqster or equivalent. As far as drivetrain goes, baker F6F,manual chain adjuster and a 31 tooth pulley.a jagg cooler would be fine addition .check and make sure your compensator is good. Have fun.
I have a FM107 with TW-555 cams. No head work. It puts out 106 HP and 121 TQ.
I upgraded my 2010 compensator to the 2011 SE compensator and I added the SE clutch spring. I did both of these at the time of the FM107 install.
Since then I added the AIM VPC 92T clutch spring to make the clutch pull easier with the SE spring.
Since you have a 2010 I would recommend at least doing the SE compensator upgrade and the SE clutch spring. The AIM spring is simply icing on the cake and its a really nice piece.

Good luck
I would be plenty happy with 106/121 w/ my build. I was thinking about the compensator but been reading people having issues with the upgrades so I could go either way.
Who did your build? Wondering if zippers kit could do those numbers, w/o heads

Fuel Moto did my build. They recommended the compensator upgrade as well as the SE clutch spring. I followed their recommendations and have been very pleased with the results.
I now have over 15,000 miles on the engine / clutch with no issues.

And I ride it pretty hard!!
So what does your but dyno say with the level b heads installed?
I will add the updated compensator to the list of things to do. Hopefully zippers gets back to me with their quote so I can make a decision and get the ball rolling. Did you do compression releases in the heads?
