Yes, a person could, but why? Once you pull the heads off, you are less than an hour away from taking off the jugs off. A flat top piston kit is 129 bucks. Boring is about 150 bucks. Why not just go to 95 inches while you are at it?

Heads and cams will make a dramatic improvement over stock.
Be sure you get cams that like the compression ratio you end up with using the S/E. BTW - which S/E heads? the "performance heads" are the best S/E's ~ espically for you setup. However, a port & polish of you stock heads would be cheaper and quite likely better...

Any combo, just cams, just big bore, big bore & heads, big bore, heads, and cams will give you an improvement. I'd save my money on SE heads and just have my stock ones done by Big Boyz for $299.
You are better off in the long run to wait until you can do a complete package of big bore, heads, and cams. However, if I were on a budget. I'd put in a good set of cams first.
