Default Headwork 95 build

Bike is an 04 roadking fi. 95 se piston(get from online 20% off) bored jugs. Cam choice either se 203/204, Andrews 21,26 or hq 0034. How much are we leaving on the table with using stock heads vs sending them to bean for his $300 job? Trying to keep cost down, but still done right.
Anyone have any reviews on the $500 kompressor heads?

Those compressor heads are a stock 06 head milled .060. Intake flanges adjusted accordingly. Not bad and an improvement over what you have but a little stout on compression for the cams mentioned.
Milling your heads will give you most of what the budget port work does.
If the heads get a concentric 4 angle seat and radius on exhaust same <.001 runout plus new guides you will have helped longevity, seal, and oil control. My recommendation...
Find a set of used 06up TC heads (~$200) and have them properly blueprinted (~$375) and CCs adjusted to the cam you choose. Of the ones you mentioned I would use the 204.
This is budget thrifty and will get you good bang for the buck.

I have the 95" BB with SE flat top pistons (9.4 compression advertised) and andrews 26 cams. What could be done with the stock heads to boost power without having to upgrade the cams? shaved a little? thinner gaskets?

have the heads CCed, and equalized, run a .030 head gasket and do a mild port job keeping the OE valves would give it a good kick in the pants.

as stated above, BigBoyz head service is the value leader here.

With the installation of a 1.900" intake valve/1.630" exhaust valve, get the intake port running at/near 250 cfm @ 28", surfaced/cc'd, with a .030" MLS head gasket, and hear is the kicker............
Also install a set of S/E 1.725 rocker arms.
This will DRAMATICALLY pull much more power into your set-up, cool it off(especially with that constricted exhaust port) and be very smooth as well.
Another point I'll bring up, is the boring of your 2 pc Delphi t/body from 41 to 46.5mm.
Call us with any questions.

Would I need compression releases or a high torque starter with that setup?

Are you using the cast or forged pistons? If your using the cast pistons Be sure to check the valve to piston clearance if you go with larger valves.

Not sure what pistons im going to use. Trying to keep cost down. I would like to just do a complet kit with their headwork from HQ or Hillside but not sure its in my budget for them. That way I know everything is ready to go and fits right.
