My bob has around 1500 miles on my build. Had to replace front cylinder and head from a bolt off my hypercharger mating itself to my head and front piston. I couldn't afford to do anything with heads at the time but did manage to scrounge up the extra 600 it cost me to do the 103 build with 10.5 comp pistons, used cvo 255 cams and replace that one head with a slightly used stock one. Dyno tuned with power commander at jims cycle in waco and got 83 hp and 102 tq. With that compression will i benefit more from porting, new heads or a set of gear drive or other cam? I ride pretty hard as well so reliability is an issue,
To all thinking of installing a hypercharger check and double check that every bolt has thread sealant during install. Learned my lesson.
Do the heads( Stage 2 D_B_W) and a 590 tman cam it will wake her up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! up to 120hp 120tq

I looked on the dbw website for these items but can't find them. Are they somewhere else? A link would be greatly appreciated as I am in Iraq currently and it takes forever to search some things. I would like to see the description and specs on these 2 items. Is that a regular chain drive or gear drive cam? Is this a reliable cam that won't walk under hard riding conditions?
I agree with the head mod. I am assuming a stage 2 head would have bigger valves? If I do not change cams would I benefit more from the stage 2 head or a port and polish on stock head? I know cars and big valves aren't always better depending on engine mods.
The 255's should do the job with a good porting job. Hillsidecycle, Head-Quarters, R&R, Hyperformance are some good places for head work. In no particular order. I went with Head-Quarters myself and have been pleased with the results as I'm sure I would have been with the others. Just don't go with something like "Joes quick and easy dremel porting job". Btw, stay safe in Iraq there man!
thanks Staying safe is easy but stupidity does hurt people quite frequently. So I am going to get the head work done. That is a for sure thing. For some reason deep inside and unknown to me the numbers increase just won't be high enough for across my range. So a new decision lies in do i go with a say tman 525 cam or a andrews t26?
Here is a pic of my stage 2 heads the one on the left is a stage two the one on the right is stock. I offer a stage 2 with 1.9 intake and 1.615 ex or 2.0 intake and a 1.625 exhaust your choice. I would choose the tman 590 cam. But the 525 tman cam is better then the 26andrews in my O/P

Set that TMan 590 cam up at 10.7:1, and watch her rip!
Sounds like he's close with the compression already. I'd be real careful how much I shaved the heads using those pistons. Gasket's alone might get him there, but the heads need to be cc'd to insure they match each other.
