Hello ALL..got a question on heatwrap. I have a 92 softail with WCC hell bent pipes that are loud as hell and hot as hell . I want to wrap up to keep em cool and I am tired of burning my damn pants at a freaking stop light. I am looking to buy some heat wrap 2inch but never used it before and with som many different options online I was hoping to see if anyone knows of a good brand...Are they all the same basic quality?
there are a ton of heat wrap threads throughout the forums.
I read all of them before I wrapped my V&H Propipe. Also look at youtube for video "how to", there are a lot of videos to help.
It is a myth about it it destroying pipes! I have seen heat wrapped headers on cars last for years! and then being unwrapped and there is little if any change.
I really recommend them for heat as I have been very pleased about the result for me.
on Vance & Hines website - it says they reduce exterior heat 50%. I have no way to verify this but it did make a significant difference for me. I can actually lightly touch mine after riding.
pm me if you want more info, thanks.

I used this wrap from J&P cycles. It's been on for about a year now and still looks good. Don't buy the high priced paint for these wraps though. A rattle can of high temperature barbecue paint, from your local hardware store, works just as good.
Thanks for the info.... I am going to order some wrap next week...just looking for standard black. My WCC Hell Bent pipes are black and awesome as can be...just too freaking hot at stop lights...they are my safety pipes! Believe me they can hear me coming.
