Heat Shields and Exhaust Wrap

So I've decided to get me a pair of Thunderheader pipes, but I do have a newb question. If I plan to wrap them, that would eliminate the need for heat shields, right? So you either buy the wrap or you buy the shields?

Yep. No heat shields needed if you wrap them.

For what its worth, I wrapped mine over the heat shields because I wanted the bigger diameter look. Everything seems fine. Of course, some folks say my pipes are going to rot and fall off eventually, but that will be the time for new pipes!!!! Til then, Lovin them!!
