Default will these be ok on an 2009 FXDC?

kinda tired of that silly stock handlebar, so I'm thinking about this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

and this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

has anyone tried that? will it clear the tank? can I use a shorter riser?

cheers

It depends on if your going to relocate the signals. When I did my bars I wanted to keep the signals on the bars so I added the signal mounts from a se dyna which moved my signals over about a 1/2". And that was with 7"s of rise, yours being 5.5" I would think they would hit the tank unless you relocated them. But I maybe wrong.

steveO, I live in brazil and had already cut a good chunck of both sides of the bar, so that should be a no-no... heh

red devil, did you use a 32" or a 27" drag bar with the 7" risers and had them hit the tank?

cheers

The 5.5 inch risers shown in the eBay photo will work on your bike without an issue. If you use the new bars too, you shouldnt have to lengthen any of the cables (its going to be tight). No problem clearing the tank

32" with about 3.5" of pullback, just something to keep in mind. Like I said it might or might not be a problem if you keep the signals on the bars. But there are solutions to this...relocate signals to the forks or get the mounts I have.
