I know I have seen this before but I am wondering if I need the race tuner when I install the Screamin Eagle Pro II Slip-on mufflers.
I have a 2005 15th anniversary Fatboy with the 95B engine. The dealer is telling me there are no remap downloads for 2005 and up and that I need the Race tuner kit, air filter, and put on the Dyno. With 4-5 hours labor for everything. Of course at a price of around 1200 bucks for everything. *cough*
Do I already have the Stage 1 air cleaner and fuel map on my bike? Can I just put the mufflers on myself and go?
RE: Question on adding SE-2 Slip on's with 95B Engine
There are downloads for the 05 bikes. They are different than the ones for the 03 and back, 04&05 use a different map because of a faster ECM. Ask him if he has a digital tech (like a laptop) they contain all the downloads. The 06's are going to be different again.
Sounds like the dealer wants to make some $$$
If you do decide to go with the TFI/DFO, you would need the stealth model so it does not set a code.
