Hey Scott,Ive followed alot of your posts in the last couple of yrs and respect your knowledge that you share on here so that being said I got a few questions for you or others.I have a friend with a 05 duece,it has a 240phat tail kit on it,V&H pipes,42 mikuni. Now our first problem is the drive side crankshaft has so much run-out that the primary chain won`t stay tight...Have you seen this problem before?,he has one mechanic telling him its because of the phat tail kid and another one saying thats not the reason,I plan to replace the crank when we rebuild next month, just wondering if you think it will happen again?
Also the bike is going thru oil like **** thru a goose with only 17k miles,we plan on going to 95",complete port and polish heads, adj.pushrods, and looking for about 10.CR or so,now my question is cam choice,we plan to go with Andrews ,would you recomend the TW31s based on having a higher CR or would another benefit us more. Thanks in Advance.
Scott here,
If you could call me @ 315-495-6650, we can discuss this.
Sounds like you have some problems going on for sure!!
For starters sounds like the flywheels have slipped, horribly.
We have several good used "B" cranks here.
Happy to help however we can.
Scott
