They are both a Hypereutectic cast aluminum piston, not really much difference between brands. Personally I would spend the extra $100 and go with a forged piston. Which of the two does your builder recommend?
I haven't asked builder for recommendation, just trying to get some outside info to make an informed decision.
I may be wrong but I don't think my build really warrants forged pistons I will only be talking in the range of
85hp & 95# torque.
From what I understand forged pistons are more needed in high hp & high torque applications, meaning
well over 100 - 100 along with roller rockers and timken crank bearings. But maybe my understanding is
wrong.
