I am working on a old customers bike. He has a 05 Road King with 95 cylinders CNC heads with I think he said .570 cams. The bike only has about 31K on it and he has gone through 3 sets of Fueling Lifters. Last time he had this problem he had the cams changed.
Has any one had problems with Fueling Lifters? What is your opinion on the best brand of lifters to run?
Never ran Fueling lifters because of posts on other forums about problems. IMHO, the OEM "B" lifter is not bad and the Woods lifters ($$$) are probably the best available today.
I've been running .590s (Dave Mackie Engineering 590s) for six years with stock Harley lifters. It has about 49,000 miles now. Motor sounds great and runs fantastic! In my limited experience, Harley lifters get the job done with no problems. I've got a lot of buds with hot rod Twin Cams, and I've done a few gear drive upgrades for friends, and we all use Harley lifters.

If he is running synthetic oil that can give the lifters a problem. Many people that use synthetic have had lifter failures.I run Woods directional lifters. They are great!!!
I have another friend that runs none synthetic oil and he has had problems with Fueling lifters.
My 02 Ultra is bone stock other then adjustable push rods and K&N filter in the stock housing. I have run synthetic oil since about 10,000 miles and with all most 85,000 miles just now getting some problems with my lifters. But like I said mine is basically bone stock.
Next time I talk to the guy that owns the motor in question I will as what oil he runs.
Thanks
Has any one run V Thunder lifters? They sure are cheap ST $19.95 Pro $21.95!
I have the V-Thunder hy-rev lifters, I only have a few thousand miles on them so far but they have seen the rev limiter a couple of times and seem to be doing fine, no noise from them at all and less than $60. to my door.
I was told the V-Thunder lifters are made by COMP Cams that make products for cars and are the same thing as their Magnum lifters for cars. They sell for $14.39 each and if you buy 4 you get free shipping. They are nothing but a roller hydraulic lifter for a small block Chevy.
