Default Dyno tuning question

When I had my Stage 1 done I also had my bike dyno tuned. My question is when my bike was dyno tuned I assume the changed parameters were changed in the PC-V so in essence if my PC-V were to go T-U my dyno tune would go South with it?
By the same token, if I were to remove it (PC-V) & return the bike back to stock ( a\c, mufflers) would it revert back to the original oem ecm configuration?
Thanks for entertaining my ignorance.

Clay

With a PC III USB you can connect the PC to a computer and download your map and save it. that way if you have to replace it it can be uploaded to a new PC. I would guess the PC V works the same way. Not sure on the second questioln about the ecm reverting to stock.

As I understand it, the PC-V is piggy backed onto the ECM so my thinking is the adjustments (dyno tune) are made to the map on the PC-V & not actually thee ECM. Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks,
Clay

I keep a copy of my current map on a jump drive in my tool bag. This way if my PCIII goes T U while travelling, I can get back on the road.

Your tuner should be able to give you a copy of your map on cd or something.

Bro, install your PCV software on your laptop then hook it up to the PCV and it will (the map) show on the laptop. Save it and you will now have a copy on your laptop. Just rename it to dyno tune or something like that.

That's a heck of a good idea, I never thought of that.

If the PC goes T-U on the road, you may not be able to reload a map. However, you can remove the PC, as you mentioned, and you are back to the stock map which won't be ideal but will get you home.
