Ceramic Coating
I have an exhaust that I am going to get ceramic coated. There are three shops around me that I am considering and the three actually seem to be using different industry standards. As far as I can tell, there only seems to be three standards utilized in ceramic coating and the three shops represent each of them.
Does anyone know anything about ceramic coating? Any idea which would be considered the best way to go as far as quality and durability of the finish? If it matters, I am going to go with a semi-gloss/satin black.
I know people are going to talk about Jet-Hot. They use one of the three standards and are twice as much (PLUS SHIPPING) over any local shop because of their popularity and all the advertising they do. The headers on my Z28 are Jet-Hot coated and are still pretty nice, but, everything I've read indicates that the three standards seem to be pretty similar. I'm going to go local because I've seen the stuff they do. I just want to see if there is one better than the other before I make a decision on which shop to go with.
