I was wondering that myself. Do you generally use the loose sentence, or are you more inclined towards the use of the periodic sentence? Is your diction more concrete than abstract, and how much is physical? Do you tend to be more literal, or metaphorical?

About 30% of my riding is two up, and when two up, usually packed for a long trip with a large amount of gear. Having had a 120" bike for a while, I had my fun on HDs. If I want to hotrod now, I also own a Vulcan 2000 (125 cu. in.) I rarely shift over 3500rpm, usually shifting at 3000 or even a little less. On the interstate I ride most of the time at a steady 70mph. No, I don't baby it, but with the torque low in the rpm range, I have fun with short shifting and keeping the engine in the peak torque band.

Can someone who knows more than I do help me make sense of the numbers? I have read every thread I can find on these cams. The general consensus is that they provide good low end torque and continue to make good power as the rpms increase. I read the piece on the Nightrider site about cam selection and based on their general rules of thumb for what makes a good low end cam it doesn't really seem like the HQ0034 meets the criteria with the exception of the LSA being 102. All the other specs would make it seem more like a midrange cam. I know I read on the Head Quarters site that due to their cams having an asymmetrical lobe design the numbers can be a bit misleading. Not really sure how to interpret that. I talked to my Indy about them and he hasn't had much experience with them and wasn't sure what to make of the specs on paper. I really want to like these cams and based on feedback from the guys who have them, I am leaning that direction. I just do not want to make the mistake of being overcammed for my application. Again, otherwise stock 04

Road King stage 1. Torn between these and the Andrews 26s. This decision is driving me nuts!!!!

The Andrews 26 and the HQ0034s will give you very god low end results without sacrificing the ability to go throughthe entire RPM range. The 0034s are an excellent choice, bolt in and really work well. Don't get too hung up on the specs as they just plain work.
