Yes, drilled out the two end plates (front and Back) smaller hole on the right that on the left. I left the catylist in both mufflers and it sounded ok. Better than stock. It did pop a little but no re-map and the plugs looked ok. You do need to make sure your running the 23degree injectors and not the early 8 degree.
I was in the shop today and sacraficed one- cut it open to see what was going on. I see that there are two plates at the rear holding the catalyst in and the rest is the perfirated pipe with the plate in the middle. I am actually supprised at how loud they are stock given the design. I am now going to try and find another set and knock out solid peice at the outlet and drill the holes through each and see how they sound. Just playing around.....
