Well not really. The 6 speed doesn't get into the engines sweet spot til about 80 mph. Gearing down gets that to about 70 mph. And it accelerates faster with less throttle so in reality mileage will improve. Unless you are a full throttle all the time kinda guy then it will just get to speed faster. The 30 tooth will be my first mod this winter,then t6-6 cams.

I recently fitted a SuperMeg 2-into-1 to my bike and had it set up by the same dyno guy who did the previous exhaust. The max TQ number went up just a few, but low to mid range was improved over 10% and the motor is much smoother and sweeter to ride.
