Default Air cleaner intake question

I have a 2004 Roadking with an oval aircleaner, the bike is EFI. I wasw thinking of getting a Forcewinder XR-2 aircleaner to increase air flow, I currently have open twin header exhaust W/O baffles so exhaust is free moving. My question towards the rear of the aircleaner there appears to be a hose connected and also an electrical connection to the back plate of the air cleaner. The bike had been upgraded to 103 screamin eagle upgrade, and 6 speed, do not really know much more of the history of performance mods, but am currious as to what the 2 wire electrical connection is for, and would I need to somehow accomodate the wires for a specific purpose. I do not know if the current aircleaner is already an upgrade or stock. Hope I gave enough info, thanks

The hose should be your breather hose which comes from each head. The wires going to the backplate I'm going to guess....

1) the air cleaner somehow lights up
Or
2) electronic compression release wires?

See what others say......

do not believe it is lighting related, could it have something to do with the power commander? perhaps sensor?
