Default Anyone know if .....

#1) Would a little dab of teflon paste be OK to put on new flat style exhaust gaskets (head side) to help hold them in place while fitting on new pipes?

#2) I read alot about "bungs" to plug up o2 sensor ports. What kind of set up permits the disconnection of 02 sensors?

Thanks

Why would you want to take out the O2 sensors? I think a Power Commander has you take them out.

I dont want to remove them. I'm just trying to understand who gets to remove the 02 sensors and why do they remove them?

They sell 02 sensor bongs to cap off the ports but I dont understand myself who would do that and why?

1. In my experience the pipe gaskets take some persuading to get into the recess, so don't need anything to hold them in place. They are a tight fit in there!

2. I have bungs in my pipes, but that is because I have pipes for a modern bike on an old carb bike, so I don't have O2 sensors. The holes however help setting up on a dyno much easier, which is one reason for buying the pipes. If your bike has O2 sensors, sleep easy and forget about those bungs!

Default Bung

The reason for bungs is to go from 02 sensor narrowband 12mm to 18 mm wideband the reason for this is too tune the bike better and more precise
