Default Testing For Leaks

Thanks for the help guys.
Take a rag and block the end of the muffler. Don't completey seal off the muffler just, just create enough back pressure to "see" any leaks. If nothing is obvious, you're good to go.

A 1/4" drive ratchet, a couple extensions, a 1/2 socket, and a little twist - good as new!
I bet you have never seen an exhaust gasket that has been squished into the port impeding flow. I have so that is why I would take it off. not for the leaks but for the flow obstruction.

If the exhaust is leaking, you will hear it and the engine will start popping on decel.
I have repeatedly read on this Forum to stay away from the SE gaskets and go with the standard ones. I bought both, got scared away, and kept the stock ones. Also, my dealer who had both types at the same cost said that they did not like the SE...to each his own.

cometic makes a nice crushable metal gasket that works well. It is not like the mesh se gasket. I tried the se on different pipes and some they work in and some they do not.
