I just had a somewhat similar problem with 99 sportster, it would have problems after I had been riding ( couldn't restart it for about 20-30 mins) Then it finally would die out on me while riding once it got hot enough.. turned out to be my ignition module... no spark and just fuel, would flood out seemed like it had run out of gas or something is what it felt like.. let it sit for about 15-20 minutes and off we went again utill it got hot and would do it again... Harley dealer couldn't figure it out until it started to do it while I was riding, before that they didn't know what it was
