Need some help. At the point of adjusting pushrods. I am not sure what brand my adjustable pushrods are as I was not the original owner. What is the difference between the intake and exhaust push rods?
Some manufacturers say 2 1/2 turns and some say 4. What do I need to know about the actual push rod if I don't have the brand name. Threads per inch? If so what adjustment to follow? Is there any difference between intake and exhaust?
you need to know threads per inch...the exhaust pushrods are usually longer than the intake ..can you post a pic of them ?.i bet you would get a answer really quick on what brand .

Threads per inch is what you need to know.
No difference pre-loading the intakes or exhausts.
Longest pushrod= f/ex
Next==========r/ex
Third longest====f/in
Shortest=======r/in
Many pushrod sets have little/no difference on the f or r intake lengths.

I pulled pictures of most manufacturers. They are either Crane or Edelbrock adjustable pushrods. The thread count per inch is 21. I adjusted them 3 turns or 18 flats. I am just wondering if this preload will be okay?
