Default Cam and compression ratio question.

I would like to bump up the CR on my 07 heritage with 103 motor. I have 2 questions. I currently have andrews 54 cams in and I am at 9.8 - 1 CR. I was wondering if I should stay with them or consider using a set of SE 211's that I used to run that are setting in a box in my garage. Which cam and CR combination out of these two will give me the best results? I am more interested in achieving a quick torquey type of performing bike than top end. Also which is the best way to increase CR? Cut the heads or cut the cylinders? I am hoping to get it right this time and leave the damn thing alone for while. Last year I geared down 2 teeth and it helped a lot but I know there is still more there. Bike has always run a little warm but last year I installed a new map into the T-max and it runs a lot cooler now. I'm fairly confident I can find another map that will work good with higher compression but would not want a setup that ran too hot. Running Bassani road rage 2 into 1 pipe and big sucker air cleaner also. Thanks in advance......Mike

Install a Wood TW-6-6, and set the compression @ 10.25, or a Wood 5-6 set at 10.0.
We've seen dyno reports(on our 107"ers) tuned at several outfits, showing 115/120 with the 6, and a D&D Fatcat.
Torque strike is very early.

Thanks for the reply Scott. Yeah I've heard a lot of good things about Wood cams. Noisey but pull like hell. I was hoping to utilize the cams I allready have unless there is a huge advantage with the Wood cam What about cutting the heads or cylinders? Which way would be the best way to go there? Anybody have some CR #'s and input for the 211's and the 54's?
