on S.E. performance heads? I have not changed the valve springs that came with these heads. I am installing the S.E. hydraulic cam chain upgrade kit on a carbed 2000 flht with roller chains front and back and need to select new conversion cams to make it work and like the andrews 54 n's but not sure if the .555 lift is to much.
I am running a 95 inch motor with S.E. air cleaner, ignition ,k. b. flat top pistons and 211 cams , fueling hp lifters and cobra true duals with thunderheader slip ons.
The bike has great great midrange to top end power now but i'm looking to bring the powerband down to start sooner .
If this lift is to much what cams would be similiar to the 54's with an acceptable lift?
SE heads can range from .585 to .600 depending on what heads they are.if you planing on around .575+,springs should be checked for proper seat & open pressure and coil bind, dont "assume" anything
