Default Cam Spacers

Tryng to get my cam gears lined up evrything seemed fine on the install of cam chest. When I put astraight edge on the gears I am about 10 k out on the front of gears with a .120 spacer so need to go bigger, but when I check the rear part of the gears they seem to be a bit farther out maybe a coupla thous. more than the front .Is this normal???So I thought I would do my SE. adj. push rods how do I set them with dry lifters ?The bike has been sitting for a coupla months so I think the lifters have bled down.I tried to set them per inst. but they never bleed down after a 10-15 min. wait.So I gave up and came in the house before I totally lost it

You said "about .010" out on the front sprockets. If you can't get a .010" feeler guage blade under the straight edge; if you can, go to the thicker spacer. No sure I am following your comment on the "rear part of the gears" and a "coupla thous more than the front". I don't think there is anything to worry about but can't really say because I don't understand your comment.

Adjust them dry the same way as wet; they will just bleed down faster. The lifters won't bleed down while just sitting on the bench. What lifters? If OEM lifters, they should bleed down in 10-15 minutes so there must be other problems? What was your adjusment procedure? Was the piston at TDC on the compression stroke? How many turns? etc. Give us more information.

What lifters? 30 minutes to bleed down dry is unusual but, good that you got it done.
