Default engine miss

I have a 2000 FLSTF with a munkini carburetor after a couple hour ride my bike would not go below a high idol and I was getting a fuel miss. The next day I started it up and it would idol ok when it was cold but I kept getting a fuel miss that would kill the engine, went for a short ride to warm it up real good and it was idling high again it was running great at higher rpm's just at a idol or lower rpm's is when I'm having a problem. Any suggestions?

I'd pull it apart and put a good eyeball on it, to include taking a peek at the intake manifold seals.
Also you'd want to check the petcock for proper flow.

Have you had the bike as set up for awhile and these are new issues? Or is the bike/current set up, pretty new to you?

I bought the bike last year with the current setup, put about 3000 miles on it no problems until a couple days ago, only put on about 500 miles so far this spring. bike has 60000 miles on it do not know when the new carb was put on.

Check the cheap and easy things first...idling high when warmed up, clean or replace the air cleaner medium. Starving for air when warm will run richer and bump up your rpms. The other issues seem to only be when running off the low speed/idle jet. Don't know if you have a tach but they like to have the idle about 1000. If it is set too low, when it is cold it will want to kill. Also look at plugs and check idle air mixture, if too rich will load up the plugs at idle and kill it. I would check all those before tearing down the carb or anything. It is getting fuel if at higher rpm it is running ok because that would be when it would want more fuel so sounds more to me an adjustment to the low circuit. And do clean the AC filter, it will suprise you!
