Default engine upgrade

Hello all, is their a way to tell if a twincam 88 motor has been bumped up to a 95 , i have the heads and cylinders off and need to get gasket kits, thanks for any responses.

You could measure the cylinder ... the stock bore is 3-3/4" whereas the 95 is 3-7/8" ...

This is pretty much the only way to check,unless yours is obviously more powerful than other 88s.

i just measured the cylinders off my 2006 roadking and they measuer 3 3/4 my friend has a 2007 roadking with the 96 and his measured the same as mine did, iam just trying to figure out what was done to my motor, when i bought the bike it had 1,800 miles and one sales guy said it was bumped to a 95 and another said it wasnt

the difference between the tc88 & tc96 is the crank stroke, the cylinders are the same.

i was just reading that on another site, the 88 has a crank stroke of 4 and the 96 a crank stroke of 4 3/4, thanks for all the replies guys

JFYI The 96" motor has a 4 3/8" crank, 3 3/4" bore.
The 88" motor uses a 4" crank with the same 3 3/4" bore.
No factory Harley cuurently uses a 4 3/4" stroke. Fastrider124

A 95"er will have a bore of 3.875".

sorry i put the stroke wrong for the 96 i meant 43/8 not 4 3/4

No 4 3/4" arms for Twin Cams as a shelfed item @ S&S, but upon request, they'd build you one, but you'd need longer cylinders also.
We use 4 3/4" cranks from S&S all the time, when upgrading Shovel engines, for folks that need crank work, and also want more power.
