fuel problem need help
I have a 2000 fatboy. Mikuni carb, screamin eagle intake, i have flushed my gas tank, installed new lines, replaced the petcok, and tried everything i can think of other than replacing the carb or the gas tank. My problem is that when i get to a half a tank of fuel my motorcycle shuts off like it is running out of fuel. I turn the valve to reserve and it does nothing. So i put 2 1/2 gallons back into the tank and its full and runs like nothing was wrong. if the bike shuts off and i put a half a gallon of fuel into the tank it will start and run until it gets back to 1/2 tank. I dont know what to do i have been to the harley dealer several times and they dont know what to do. If someone has had this problem or knows the answer please let me know so i can ride more than 100 miles without having to stop and fuel up. thanks for all the help.

When the fuel gets to that point,disconnect the fuel line to the carb.If the fuel is not flowing,open the gas cap and see if this helps.
