Confused
I have been reading about exhaust changes.
I have a 2006 FLHT wih fuel injection. Would like to get more sound and better than the stock mufflers.
I would like to change my slip on mufflers but I have become confused regarding tuners.
Is it needed for just a slip-on change?

I just installed Vance And Hines ovals
I test rode it prior to installing the fuel pack and it popped on decel
After the fuel pack I only got it to pop once in a quick accel and decel
In fourth gear hard on the gas to about 4500 rpm and then straight to idle
But only one pop[8D]

I changed out my entire exhaust system (duals & free flow mufflers) without tuning. I checked my plugs and they were burning normal. Check this link on reading spark plugs: http://www.ngksparkplugs.com/techinf...amp;country=US

I changed out my pipes and it popped like crazy.
It seems that some can get away without a tuner, and others can not. I will say that my plugs burned 'normal', but it still popped on decel.
I also got abysmal performance after the change. Putting on a tuner gave me more power than I started with before the pipe change.
