Slip ons and EFI?

Slip ons and EFI?
I would like to eventually install a complete stage 1 set up. Can only afford to do one part at a time. Will it damage the motor if i run slip ons without re tuning?

No. I had slip-ons for a few months before anything else got done and I had no problems. As soon as you do your air cleaner or a full exhaust, you will need a tune. But here's some free advice: If you really want a full exhaust, wait until you can afford it. If all you're ever gonna want is slip-ons, then pull the trigger on a set and don't worry about your tune.

I suggest you consider buying the parts as you can afford them, then only fitting them when you have everything to hand and getting your bike tuned and sorted out just once.
As new, a stock bike it is set up with lean air/fuel ratios, to meet EPA regulations. No vehicle manufacturer is allowed to sell vehicles that don't meet those regs! Pretty well any change will upset that air/fuel. I wouldn't run my bikes without getting them tuned.
