Have a 2007 Night Train and want to put an exhaust on it, but since it's injected, it's going to be a lot more money. I was thinking of just getting some Screamin' Eagle slip ons, but I've heard different answers as to if I'd still need to change the fuel injection settings. If I just ran the slip ons with the stock intake, would I need to make any changes? Or would I be better off to wait until I can afford a better set of pipes, an intake and the fuel controller?

I personally blelieve it will be fine. You start using a hi-flow air cleaner you need to consider some fuel management. If your not going to run slip-ons for any length of time, then save your money for pipes, intake, tuner so you don't waste it on slip-ons.
If you end up going the slip on route, we have a full slate of exhaust options that I think you may be interested in. Check out our site when you get a free minute, and as always PM me know if you have any questions.
Hey All...
Just picked a 2012 FLHTC. Have just ordered a set 4" Screaming Eagle slip-ons. Just curious if there is any major difference between the 3.5's and the 4's... Besides the looks?
Stage 1 download to be done at the dealer in the spring.
I know, Screaming Eagle? What?! Go with Reinhart! or V&H or whatever!! I live on kind of a quiet street and have cool neighbours... so far.
Back to the Q... Any difference in the sound between 3.5 and 4"?

No problem with just slipons. I rode like that for the bikes first season with no problems at all. BUT... If you plan on making future mods to your bike and will eventually want full pipes, I would wait. Your basic SE slipons do little or nothing for you. They are only a little louder, don't look any better, and without doing the a/c and injection map, you wont notice much in the ride. IMHO I would save my money. Ebay has lots of good pipes at a decent price, and also lots of used ones around. If you do go with slipons, look at all the other brands and at least get something that you will be happy with for a while. That's my two cents(CND$) for what it's worth
I have a pair of v&h slip ons. Chrome. Coming of an 08 street bob. Pm me if you want em.
And no you dont have to do anything to your bike if adding slip ons. Fuel injected bikes will compensate for the added air flow of pipes or an air cleaner.
Thx guys... I have the Stage 1 A/C on the same order... Going to change the plugs with the A/C download. Just want a little more for now. Couple of the boys are sporting Reinharts and I find them a tad too snappy on longer rides... especially when I get stuck behind them. I don't want to get too loud right now. One of my pals has done what I'm doing and I kind of like it.
And, Shredding, the 2012's (103) come with 2'' header pipes... Pretty sure they wouldn't fit. Thx for the offer though.
