Knocking
I have a 2002 Deuce that's carbed. It has 12800 miles on it. Lately, it's got a sort of knock that I feel. I can't hear it but definetely feel it. It increases and decreases with the rpms. It seems to be worse when it warms up. If I'm on the freeway and let off the gas it smooths out and I can't feel it. I replaced the plugs and ran carb cleaner. I've heard maybe it's the compensator sprocket bolt. That sound right to anyone?
Your bike is a TC88 and your compensator should be fine. TC96s have a different design of compensator that has given problems. If the noise is coming from the primary it is worth checking chain tension.
If that doesn't fix it the quickest and easiest way of identifying your noise is to visit a dealer or indy and ask them to listen to it. This sort of thing isn't easy over the internet!
