Default HT Silicone for exhaust?

Have read recommendations to use HT silicon to help seal the exhaust around slip-ons to help reduce decel pop. My question is I have to remove one muffler in order to remove the rear wheel. My only experience with silicone is on vent pipes for pellet stoves and its almost impossible to get apart aftwards. If I use the copper sealant I see recommended, will getting my muffler off be a PITA?

RTV High Temp slicone;the copper stuff. It will not take a set and actually makes it easier to pull the mufflers. Doesn't take much.
