my 96 road king has 70,000 miles on it and still runs great ,, its alittle slower than most of the newer bikes i ride with , i was thinking of putting the s&s v111 in it for $6900.00 i can get it fuel injected pretty much plug and play ,, what are your thoughts
Not a bad price, but @ 70,000, your Evo is far from retirement.
If wanting more from that an 89" S&S stroker kit, with say an Andrews 3, or Wood 6 cam, bearings/lifters, and some mild head work, and you'll have darn near the power of that crate engine, and still have dough left on the table.
Scott
Welcome to HDF from the UK. Can't argue with Scott, but I will say that I have an S&S V107T in my 1990 bike, the predecessor of the V111 and it runs great, with 101HP and 107TQ plus a flat smooth torque curve. It could run even better if the Atlantic wasn't between me and Hillside, but sometimes we have to be happy with what we have!

I know this is a little late on this thread but man I hope you didn't pay that price for the v111. You can get it in the $5,500 range with the three yr guarantee or do as I did and get it for $4,800 plus shipping with the two yr warranty.
